This document establishes the official regulatory framework covering international competition standards, school accreditation, instructor certification, professional ethics, and international member mobility support.
Chapter 1
International Competition & Championship Regulations
Ensuring transparency, objectivity, and professional excellence across all global ICMF sanctioned events and championships.
Art. 1.1 Jury Composition & Conflicts of Interest
«The international jury shall consist exclusively of certified, internationally recognized experts holding an ICMF Master Degree. To guarantee total impartiality, no judge or jury member is permitted to evaluate, grade, or score any competitor who originates from the same school, federation, country, or direct training background as themselves. Any potential conflict of interest must be disclosed immediately to the Competition Committee prior to the commencement of the event.»
Art. 1.2 Evaluation Criteria
«Competitors across all categories (including Swedish/Classic, Wellness/Spa, Freestyle, Asian, and Therapeutic/Chiropractic) shall be strictly evaluated on:»
- Technical proficiency, structural body mechanics, and ergonomics,
- Strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and workspace sanitation protocols,
- Originality, seamless flow, and transitional execution of the treatment,
- Professional ethics, client communication, and appropriate draping techniques.
Chapter 2
Educational Accreditation & Instructor Framework
Regulating the authorization of international training facilities and the ongoing credentials of official educators.
Art. 2.1 Approved Training Centers (ATC)
«Any educational facility, private school, or institute applying for the “ICMF Approved Training Center” status must fully integrate the standardized ICMF curriculum into their programs. Furthermore, the facility must satisfy all ergonomic and professional safety criteria, and employ at least one active, registered ICMF Master Instructor to oversee the training operations.»
Art. 2.2 Certified International Instructors
«The title of ICMF International Instructor or Master Instructor is granted solely upon the successful completion of the official Teacher Training Seminar and subsequent approval by the Education Committee. These educational credentials shall remain valid for a period of 2 years and are subject to renewal based on active participation, educational contributions, and compliance with updated federation guidelines.»
Chapter 3
Professional Code of Ethics
Upholding the highest standards of dignity, respect, and therapeutic boundaries in the international bodywork community.
§ 3.1 Professional Conduct & Non-Discrimination
«All members, students, educators, and judges of the ICMF are bound to exhibit the highest level of professional conduct. Any form of discrimination—including but not limited to race, gender, religion, nationality, or sexual orientation—is strictly prohibited. Respect for the model’s dignity and physical/emotional boundaries is paramount. Any violation of these ethical and therapeutic boundaries will result in an immediate review by the Disciplinary Committee and potential permanent expulsion from the Federation’s global register.»
Chapter 4
Member Mobility & Educational Support
Facilitating international exchange, workshops, and short-term logistics for members traveling to intensive training courses.
§ 4.1 Short-Term Training & Educational Hospitality
«In order to foster international mobility, global collaboration, and hands-on skill development, the ICMF may organize intensive short-term or extended educational workshops (such as 7-day masterclasses). The Federation is authorized to provide logistical support, educational facilities, and temporary complimentary hospitality/accommodation to visiting international members and guest lecturers. Such provisions must remain strictly non-commercial and non-profit, operating solely as an internal mechanism to facilitate the practical fulfillment of the Federation’s educational goals.»
